My Passion For Learning Science And Technology In Education

The onset of my passion about learning science and technology in education, an intensive interest which has now evolved into an aspiration and a pursuit in the field, happened after joining the POMI (Programmable Open Mobile Internet) research team in the School of Education at Stanford University. Working as an active team member at site visit for POMI 2020 at Stanford University, developing numerous mobile applications on Androids, researching better approach to teach students in informal and formal learning environment, and performing the workshop, my inquires such as what is learning and how to help students understand better increased. To teach AIDS and its prevention to people in Rwanda, I developed mobile application named TeachAIDS. Getting to know that Rwandan people really liked to learn via mobile application and this approach was effective to attract many people I decided to use my expertise in technology and engineering for helping people in underserved areas globally so that I accepted the learning media researcher position of Seeds of Empowerment. Now I am working on adding new feature, Google Map, to ebookmaker. If this new function is possible, people over the world can share their stories with people in other places and sharing their stories can give the chance to understand better others’ culture, custom and history. Developing scientific understandings of learning and instruction in mathematics, science, and technology is now my new challenge. I strongly feel confident that my practical experience as an engineer, researcher, developer, and minority in the USA equipped me with meaningful qualifications to pursue the Ph. D program of education in Math, Science and Technology at UC
