In addition to her position on women in the workplace, she noted that a woman who participates in sport is no less of a woman in comparison to the traditional definition of a woman.12 Not only did she verbalize her position, but lead by example as a career woman in athletics. Throughout her career as a female athlete, Fanny was able to reduce the stereotype surrounding females as subordinates in the sporting community, abolish gender and ethnic constraints females faced when attempting to participate in sport and empowered females to participate in athletics by providing them with a successful role model.
