The article is about how the world is still unfair to women in the workforce. One of the main points of the article is how women still earn a significant less wage then men of the same ability level. The misconception discussed in this article is that it is believed that men are becoming “dethroned” because of women’s rise in the workforce. That women are starting to take over and men no longer exist. These false theories are discussed through employment opportunities and finances when comparing men and women of the same educational background. The author illustrates the social construction of sexism as society still places men above women in the workplace. They do this by employment and by giving women a smaller salary then men.
