There are several theories that can be used as a lens to understand organizational management and organizational behavior (Kirst-Ashman, 2014). This paper will utilize the political-economy theory to assess the substance abuse treatment provider that operates under the business name of The Women’s Treatment Center (TWTC). There is easy commuter access from many directions. The pink and green L trains have a stop on that corner. The Ashland Avenue bus also stops there. The entrance and exit ramps from the 290 expressway is approximately 2 miles away from TWTC. Principals of macro-level advocacy are to increase accessibility of social services to clients, promote service delivery that does not detract from the groups we serve, and to work to ensure equal access to all who are eligible (Kirst-Ashman & Hull, 2015, p. 383).
