The Wife of Jackson Pollock, that's what many know her for, but few know, that she bolstered Pollock and her work is just as impressive as his. Krasner always knew she was going to be an artist, and during the Great Depression, made and ample salary for herself by waitressing and supported herself as artist. In a time when women weren't working as much she pushed through and put herself through art school. Also, she joined the Administration's Federal Art Project, where she was painting murals. Her cubism was not the style for murals, so she changed and painted beautiful murals throughout New York. After she met and married Pollock she helped his career by introducing him to many art gallery owners, museum curators and other important people
