The wife of Bath’s Tale is a feminist tale being that in the 17th to the mid-20th century was a much harder time for women. In this time, society legally and physically restricted women in their life. These women who had no husband/ bread winner who faced abuse, rape and physical mistreatment were often ignored. Time and thoughts have changed since this slowly was written. We have to keep in mind that reading this tale we need to picture it and understand if we were in this time are. I believe that the wife of Bath’s tale “would play a role of a more feminist tale.
For instance I would believe that a king would make a decision and stick to it unlike in the story. The queen in the story is the one who gave the young knight a chance and a quest to save his life. The quest placed upon him was to find what women want more than anything in the world. My opinion on this is that the story is in favor of a feminist approach as the queen and noble woman decided on this. The knight was given a year, with in that time he searched and answer he received was different but wasn’t the tight one. He tells her that he is in a search of what woman want most. She tells the knight that she knows the answer, but in return he must give whatever she wants. I believe that this part of the tale assist my opinion in that the tale tales a more feminist side, because woman would be more knowledgeable then the rest of the kingdom. My theory more is that see also requires what she wants in return for the answer that is not yet
