i. Gerald Brousseau Gardner founded the Wiccan religion.

i. The Wicca religion is a modern form of an ancient way of life, or system of worship that has been around in Europe for thousands of years.

i. Each Wiccan community is called a coven, and it usually consists of 10 to 15 members. As a member of the coven, there are three degrees of initiation possible for each person in the coven. Wiccan’s identify as polytheist, and have many gods. Each individual person is called to find their own patron god and goddess. Wicca is a religion based on practice over beliefs.
b. Who is Jesus?
i. The Wiccans greatly respect Jesus, and appreciate his teachings as they are like their own ways and practices.

i. The Holy Spirit can be loosely related to the nature spirits in the Wiccan religion.
d. What happens after death?
i. Wiccans are not afraid of death. They see the afterlife as a change in their state of presence. The deceased is said to pass through a wall, and is rid of all pain and suffering of earth. Although though this sounds very similar to heaven, Wiccans say it is very different. Also, almost all Wiccans accept the idea of reincarnation. There are many different viewpoints of life after death, and what happens in the afterlife is not exactly stated, and varies from person to person.
