“The White Helmets”
The documentary called “The White Helmets”, was about a team of guys who would risk their lives to save people that were effected by bombing. The white helmets were founded in 2013. Over the past few years many lives’ have been taken for the sake of saving a life. Two mottos that they live on is “life requires sacrifice” and “to save a life is to saved humanity” It was also mentioned in the movie that regardless of who you are they will still save you, even if you’re considered the enemy. The reason for the bombing was because the Russians wanted to kill what we known as ISIS. In reality they’re not really killing their target they are just killing the people that stay in that town. Also in the movie they stated that if you were to travel to the next city over. The atmosphere is completely different and way calmer. Pretty much no bombs or anything. After watching the documentary, I notice that we have a lot of different things in common. A few things that we have in common is when it comes down to our faith, ways we tend to handle different circumstances, and our beliefs. During the documentary, the guys that worked for the white helmets they would always thank their god for everything that he does. Something I noticed throughout the entire movie is that the word faith was never used. They used words like hope or believing. As a way to describe what is known to us as trusting in our Lord. When comparing how they interact with the word faith to me. I tend to use the word faith on a daily based. I often find myself at times thru the day where I’m walking down el Prado thinking to myself and out of nowhere Ill began to thank God and reinsure that I’m trusting him to resolve issues in my life. I also find moments that I will just Thank God for his grace and mercy. Or for what some people seem as the little things in

According to the eleventh chapter of the book of Hebrews, “Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen, it gives us assurance about things we cannot see” (Heb. 11:1, NIV). People apply their faith for a range of reasons:some make use of their faith for material things, while others simply exert their faith to auricularly discern God’s voice. Faith gives us both a positive declaration and confidence. On the other hand, doubt causes both fear and equivocality. Hence, fear and faith cannot co-subsist.…

The difference in these 3 articles about the Holocaust is that they tell the story in a different point of view, whether it be in first point of view, third point of view, or even just in an article. Okay, well, the first article that talks about the Holocaust is Children in the Shadows, talking about the horrible Holocaust experience in a point of view mixing, fact and narrated detail. Here are some things to back up, “She heard it from Madame DeGelas, who hid Renee's family in a small apartment in Brussels, Belgium. She heard it again from the Catholic nuns who concealed Renee when it became too dangerous for her to live with Madame DeGelas.”…

It was a pleasure to read the book Acts Of Faith. I found it to be a very well written, and easy to understand. The author’s main point is to emphasize the importance of interreligious dialogue, especially among youth. The author, Eboo Patel, writes this book as an autobiography starting when he was a child, and continuing until he is about thirty, and has founded the Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC), biased in Chicago. He begins the book by illustrating the London bombings that occurred on July 7, 2005.…

Beau Geste (1939) is a perfect example of the situation of film at the time. Film is shaped by both those creating the film and the society they come from. This is evident in Beau Geste, as it is a prime example of a movie that went with the code, and also shows the mind of America in how it was thinking about World War II, which was developing in Europe. Though Beau Geste is about the French Foreign Legion, and not the Great War nor World War II, it still demonstrates America’s view of war. It introduces war as something boys play about, and when grown up as men, continue to do so.…

In the pursuit of knowledge, it is the knower who seeks information. How a person sees and comprehends this knowledge is adjusted when by society, and potentially a location. Each “knower” is different; some people can have multiple perspectives or perhaps a person could have an open mind. In my current status, I would have to agree with this statement because sometimes the perspective we have clouds our ability to understand different topics. Perspective helps us understand certain things due to the fact that we develop it from the knowledge we already have and from there we push forward.…
