Getting married is one of the most important days of a person’s life. There is so much planning that goes into the wedding and the reception. The most important part of a wedding is the two people, who are willing to spend the rest of their lives together. But in some cultures the two people marrying each other, they have never seen each other in person. Now that is not always the case. Arranged marriage is progressing into something more, it is giving people a choice. There is no right way to find love, just as long as you find it. It doesn’t matter if it’s arranged or if you found them yourself. Americans perceive arranged marriage as this terrible thing. In the U.S. arranged marriage is generally seen as parents fixing up their children for their own benefit. We see it as a loss of a freedom. The average was a 3.9 on a ten point scale, when the people were first married. But a few years later the same people were interviewed and the average went up to 8.5 percent. Women’s love increased to a 5.2 and men’s love increased to 4.1 (2).

They said these factors were the reason for the growth of love in the marriages. Commitment is one of the factors in the marriages. Most of the people interviewed said that they knew their relationships were for life, so they tried to make them work. They all did different things to help their relationship along the way, some prayed, and some toughed it out
