The Central African Republic’s environment consists of two major weather patterns that occur yearly. From the month 's March to October sometimes November, The CAR is receiving its annual rainfall. The maximum amount of precipitation reaches approximate 71 inches, which take place in the upper Ubangi region. Within the Karre Mountains, rainfall averages drop slightly to 59 inches in the southwestern regions of the country monsoons are common weather. These weather patterns are created by the moist savanna climate which prevails in the north and to the south is the equatorial forest. The Seleka:
The Seleka are a rebel group that has an alliance of rebels between 1,000 to 3,000 people. The Seleka is thought to be made up of three major groups the Patriots for Justice and Peace (CPJP) The Union of Democratic Forces (UFDR) and the Democratic Front of Central African People (FDPC). The groups became allies in the opposition to the Bozize regime; after the groups felt specific terms and conditions established at the 2007 peace signing had not been satisfied.
Suspicion of other groups joining and also aiding the Seleka have been reported but not yet proven. There are, however, two newer forces that have joined the Seleka, these groups are the Patriotic Convention for the Salvation of Kodro and the Alliance for Renaissance and Reorganization. Some government individuals think people from countries such as Chad, Nigeria and Sudan work within the Seleka ranks trying to get hold of CAR’s rich natural resources. Bozize has been accused of fraud during to presidential elections in the years 2005 and 2011. Bozizes failure to keep his promise about the 2007 ceasefire of the Central African Bush war or otherwise known as the Global Peace Award has fueled the Seleka into battles with the weak and unorganized CAR army. The Seleka have very little resistance to deal with generally, watching the retreating CAR army. In March of 2013 Bozize was forced to flee the country in exile, no longer being able to defend against Seleka.
