Peer influence has long been proven and recognized to be an important factor in adolescent lives. Influence of one’s peers is important because of the way a lot of people define their lives around what people of the same status of them live. Many teens when they get out of school go home to an empty house. Being alone compounded with the access they have to technology they are able to experiment with whatever it is that they please. After school hours and before parents get home from work is when most delinquent behavior occurs among adolescents. The challenge games are in no way delinquent in nature but they do fall into the category of risky behavior which is what delinquent behavior is. Teens have a lot of time on their hands and no one around them so they engage in things that may seem fun to them. Because of the time they spend online with other teens they see things that they think will make them get more followers, likes, and things of that sort they do these challenges not knowing the danger of these different games.
