The Importance Of Guns

Should we not remember that the very freedom we preach day in and day out as the one thing we must protect at all cost was given to us by guns. The revolutionary war, a time where every household had a gun, and at one point was required to have a gun. Since day one we have had guns, and it should stay that way. Posting gun free zones accomplishes nothing, and does more harm than good. The president’s kids have armed guards around them 24/7/365 as well. Guns have been a way of life since day one in America, without guns we would still be a colony of Great Britain. Guns are a system of checks and balances between the people and the government. The logic behind this well the implied logic is that saying “no do not have a weapon around here” will stop a psychopath with the intent of murdering multiple people say to oneself “oh no guns around here guess that I can’t shoot this place up” This is an illogical idea that does more harm than good. This takes away the guns in the hands of trained people that can eliminate the threat with the pull of a trigger. What really goes through a psychopath’s head is “Look the law abiding citizens I am about to kill won’t have any guns around here because they follow the law, so I will have less chance of encountering an armed, trained, law abiding citizen exercising his 2nd amendment.” While on the flip when if he saw a sign that says “Conceal and Carry Welcomed” sign a psychopath would think “Oh if I go in there more than likely some trained, armed, law abiding citizen could kill me before i get a chance to kill anybody else.” Now yes the president’s kids indeed do have armed guards watching over them, and yes this is to ensure they are not taken as negotiation leverage, but the same idea can be used in schools. Take the teachers and ask if any want to volunteer to earn their conceal and carry permit. Take those teachers, and have them carry a concealed gun at all times, now any psychopath that knows this would not go into a school with the intent to mass murder, or would be shot dead before he gets the chance to do so. Every citizen that takes the Oath of Enlistment, and Office agrees to “solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic” yet these people want to remove the second amendment under the constitution. The question needed to be asked is if there has been 27 amendments, the first ten being adopted and ratified and named the Bill of Rights, how
