The Walking Dead: Lying In A Zombie Apocalypse

Lying in a Apocalypse Eating brains and shooting walkers is in a regular day of the zombie apocalypse. I chose one of my personal favorite shows The Walking Dead. The episode chosen is the first episode of season 6 named First Time Again. The synopsis of the episode is short but has many details in the episode. Also the episode has very few lies, which are said to each other. There is another part of lying in the episode that is ran through the entire series which means more than just lying. The lying is a lot different from real life as the show is in a zombie survival apocalyptic environment. A short synopsis of the first episode First Time Again on The Walking Dead is opened in a huge outlook of zombies in a ditch and the only exits are barricaded by trackers. The main crew is back again in the zombie apocalypse showing a plethora of zombies going towards the group, while the crew …show more content…
The lying is very different as the difference is that the lies are to themselves. In this world of zombies, killing, and surviving can only be done by someone who is fine to kill. Lying to people on thing we do in real life is nothing compared to the show. For example, lying to make someone feel pretty when their dress makes them look fat but you say the opposite. This is something not even close to what lying in in The Walking Dead but instead they lie to themselves that killing in okay in this world. The lies they commit only portray themselves and what they do wrong is hidden in their lies. It also shows that the characters lie to get rid of their true fear as they don’t admit they are scared in these situations and lie to themselves that it is okay to kill their friends which have been bit and lie about their past to get food for survive. As lying in this show is mostly for surviving in the world of zombies and it defines that lying is a human instinct if it is used to survive and get through another

World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War – Homework 2 As we get further into the novel, there are a lot of zombie themes that become very clear. One theme I noticed was the failure of technology and the reverting to older, medieval-like weapons and traditions. This idea strongly presents itself in the interview with David Forbes who talks about humanities use of castles and medieval customs for survival. Technology in a lot of instances became useless since resources such as ammunition were limited in some areas. This caused the people to find other weapons for protection.…

Lying is something that all humans do. Whether you lie for good or for bad, it is in our human nature to do so. People lie for many reasons, a lie can be big or small. Before outlining our proposed strategies for surviving the zombie apocalypse, we first need to discuss zombie physiology: what physical and mental constraints and capabilities they have, what assumptions we can make about their nature, how they perceive their surroundings, and, most importantly, what can kill them. In this discussion, we will rely heavily on the material in the Zombie Survival Assumptions and Constraints handout for this project. Starting at the top of the handout, we know that zombies “do not require food, water, or air,” and they “do not feel pain, fear, or empathy.” These two statements combine together to form an important conclusion: zombies will be indomitable assailants that lack many of the weaknesses that the surviving…

In “The Ways We Lie” by Stephanie Ericsson she discusses and breaks down the activity of lying into different kinds of lies. Ericsson goes into great detail of about 10 of them, but there are many more. Some lies are for your peace of mind and maybe still bad for both parties, and some are for the better of someone else’s feelings. Ericsson believes that even if you feel you are perfect, nobody is and still tell lies no matter big or small, we do it and at times are unaware that it is considered a lie. Individuals nowadays get to a point where they are lying and don’t know whether to believe themselves or others.…

There are several legends or just stories regarding monsters that we have known since we were children and they have frightened us since we were young into our early teenage years. But if we really think about it, what might these monsters represent or why do we even have monsters. Authors attempted to look into the world of monsters more and attempt to identify more of what the monsters could symbolize or what they can represent regarding us, humankind. In other words, the authors explain their perspectives on how do monsters and their existence affect us, how do they represent what we are here for and more. Using the articles “My Zombie, Myself: Why Modern Life Feels Rather Undead,” “Cursed by a Bite,” and “Monsters and Messiahs” I will help…

Most lies told are for the purpose of protecting one’s reputation. As seen in The Crucible, many main characters lie in order to protect their reputation. According to David J. Ley, Ph.D., most people who constantly tell lies “are often worried about losing the respect of those around them. They want you to like them, be impressed, and value them. And they’re worried that the truth might lead you to reject or shame them”…
