The Walking Dead introduces complex characters that both allows the viewer to picture the cast as their neighbor, teacher, and friend; and ensures that each character possesses traits that viewers can see within themselves. A great character leaves an impact on the viewer and is entertaining to watch at the same time. When a character is heartbroken the viewer should also feel that heartbreak, just as if the character is overjoyed so is the audience. The Walking Dead takes characters to a new level by creating powerful new dynamics to everyday people. Carol before the apocalypse is a loving mom and housewife who unfortunately was beat often by her husband. Her character has evolved into a fighter who lost her daughter and no longer puts up with any disrespect from anyone. Rick has to learn how to be a single dad to two children while striving to protect his group, and attempting to create a normalcy with what little he is given to work with in a post-apocalyptic world. Daryl is portrayed as a hillbilly tough guy, but is found to be loyal and compassionate to those he cares for and still being a hardcore butt kicker. There is a common theme to the characters of The Walking Dead, they all are more than what they appear to

Stephanie, I also watch the Walking Dead. I think one of the interesting differences between those Zombie and Hattian zombies is, Hattian zombies aren’t something to be feared. Hattians are scared of becoming zombies, but not of zombies themselves. In every modern zombie story, I’ve ever seen zombies are meant to be scary. They are monsters.…

The last and seemingly people's least favorite of Romero's Dead films, Survival of the Dead isn't actually all that bad. It's a far better film than its predecessor Diary of the Dead, at least in my opinion. Returning the standard third person perspective and adopting a more humorous approach, Survival isn't a seemingly endless slog. The films tone is probably the lightest of the Dead films, which at times does push over the border of funny, to simply camp pander. Though we also get a slew of like-able, though not often relate-able characters.…

A zombie is “a person or reanimated corpse that has been turned into a creature capable of movement but not of rational thought, which feeds on human flesh.” (Oxford) In the event of a zombie outbreak or apocalypse it would be quite difficult for a person to survive, even for a very short period of time. A person would need to take a large number of variables into consideration in order to survive. He or she would need to have a fair amount of equipment, food, shelter, weaponry, and various bits of knowledge if they wanted to live.…

There are several legends or just stories regarding monsters that we have known since we were children and they have frightened us since we were young into our early teenage years. But if we really think about it, what might these monsters represent or why do we even have monsters. Authors attempted to look into the world of monsters more and attempt to identify more of what the monsters could symbolize or what they can represent regarding us, humankind. In other words, the authors explain their perspectives on how do monsters and their existence affect us, how do they represent what we are here for and more. Using the articles “My Zombie, Myself: Why Modern Life Feels Rather Undead,” “Cursed by a Bite,” and “Monsters and Messiahs” I will help…
