In the article “You’re 16, You’re beautiful and You’re a Voter” by Anya Kamentez argues that the voting age should be lowered to 16. Kamenetz supports her argument with the 2008 election, legal age should be flexible towards education and cognitive requirements, having a learners permit, “early voting permit”, having their first, and their future are key premises to her argument. I believe that there should be a sepreate electon for the people under 18.

Kamenetz gives examples of the 2008 election, legal age should be flexible towards education and cognitive requirements, having a learners permit, “early voting permit”, having their first, and their future to support her arguments. I will now go over the supporting arguments to her conclusion that the voting age should be lowered.
The first support that Kamenetz argues is that the 2008 presidential campaign brought in the most voters under the age of 29 in history. If the voting age would be decreased there would be more voters under the young adult category. Kamenetz sees that “legal age should be flexible and pragmatic with educational and cognitive requirements to show maturity.” If the voting age would be decreased there would be an increase of voters, including those under the age of sixteen.
