America are being denied a constitutional right to vote. At the age of 16, a person possesses the ability to drive a car, leave school, and seek full time employment (Griffin). Within those hours, teenagers are enrolled in classes such as economics, history and government. This is why scientist are finding teenagers capable to make intelligent, democratic decision. An article titled “The Voting Age

Passed by the US government, the Voting Rights Acts proves that any american with a 6th grade education level possess the knowledge to vote. Therefore, Congress cannot deny teens the right to vote based off the idea of limited knowledge because the government themselves have said they do.
Additionally, the US must lower the voting age because youth have a right to representation in Washington. “Right now, teens pay an estimated $9.7 billion dollars in sales taxes alone.
