I completed The ViualDNA Who Am I Quiz?. This quiz was based on the Big Five personality traits:openness, agreeableness, extraversion, conscientiousness, and neuroticism. The Big 5 model is a taxonomy of personality traits that helps to identify people’s descriptions, or rating, of one another (Srivastava, 2015). The model was used by early trait psychologist, such as Cattell and Fiske. It is important to note that the Big Five Model is characterized to the extreme ends. For example, when observing agreeableness it can range from helpfulness to uncooperative (Burger, 2015, p.161). The ViualDNA Who Am I Quiz? is scientific because it’s basis is on the Big Five Model. I was asked to answer questions I based on things that closely describes and interest me. For example the quiz asked “ Which is more likely to be your desk?”. I would then have to chose a between two pictures, a messy desk and a clean and ordered desk. The questions varied from relationship status to personal everyday life. However, some questions seems unrelated to personality. For example, the picture questionnaire asked me what kind of car I drive and who my internet provider was. Despite the length and the questions asked, I found the quiz very intriguing and worth doing. The pictures were very detailed and the questions were related to everyday life situations. There were a few questions that required more thought than others, but I was able to answer all the questions to the best of my …show more content…
The quiz provided me with percentages for each part of the Big Five Model. For openness I received a 69%, conscientiousness was my lowest being 21%, next I received 86% for extraversion, 69% for agreeableness, and finally I received a 54% on neuroticism. I agree with the percentages provided because they give an accurate description of who I am. I scored highest in extraversion. The extraversion dimension divides extreme extroverts to one end and extreme introverts to another end (Burger, 2015,p. 162). Typically according to Burger (2015) extroverts are very sociable individuals who are energetic, optimistic, friendly, and assertive.
