To build on this the in Lead with Me (Moller & Pankake 2006) discuss Shared Vision and they state that “a school vision involves everyone,” and I have to agree, I know that when my principal involved the faculty and staff in the school vision there was more buy -in because we all felt part of the school, we felt we actually had a say in what we wanted our school to look like, to accomplish. When we were instrumental in creating the school vision it was easier to understand and as teachers who are the ones closest to the students if just made sense. Observing these behaviors has made me more attentive to not only the students that were in my class but all students in the school. It is this kind of role model that has made me more compassionate and attentive toward not only the students but all members of the faculty and staff. Like I said my view has not really changed but I have become more cognizant of my actions towards all members of the school
