Introduction/ History Remembering one’s history is important in creating a productive and successful future. The Met does just that. During the early 1900s, the founding fathers of the Met experienced financial difficulties. These struggles helped orchestrate a new vision and inspired them to create an innovative PATH (prayer, attendance, tithes and offerings, and hospitable invitation), which continues today with nearly 1,100 members. The Metropolitan Baptist Church was established in 1917 by Rev. J.F. Kirsh in a small, North Tulsa house. In 1919, under Rev. J.W. The sub-ministries under the discipleship ministry include, the nursery ministry, children’s ministry, Youth Ministry: Empowered 4:12, Men’s ministry, Women’s ministry, and many more. The discipleship ministry works to reach every age group, and there is a group appropriate for every individual. One of the interviewees viewed the organzation’s climate as an “open climate.” The interviewee explained that this was because in the organization, the workers are focused on the task at hand, but are also encouraged to ineract and build relationships with one another. The interviewee then gave an example of how other members are not afraid to ask for asistance, and because a relationship has been developed, members are also willing to asist. As a result of the organization having an open climate, focused on both building relationships and completing tasks, the members of the organization can be more productive in completing tasks.
