In the movie The Village, the habit of being proactive is displayed multiple times throughout the story’s plot. This means that the person or persons are taking responsibility for their actions.One of the crucial characters Lucius Hunt, enters the forbidden woods to seek medicines from towns beyond the woods. He fails due to fear that “The ones we don't speak of” will kill him. Later on his actions lead to disastrous effects. “The ones we don't speak of” enter the simple village and create havoc and damage to the people's houses by painting the forbidden color red on their doors.
