With the on-going matter in VA regarding access to VHA care, VHA appointment processes, and exorbitant halt times has led to the passage of the Veterans Access, Choice, and Accountability Act of 2014 (Veterans Choice Program, 2015). It presents a Full Practice Authority for all advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) granting to practice to the entirety of their scope and training so that they are promoted to their utmost potential (American Association of Colleges of Nursing, 2015).
