The Verona Murder List In Verona in the setting of Romeo and Juliet, there are many accounts of direct and indirect murder between the two families of Montague and Capulet. Although there are multiple culprits to the numerous deaths, two culprits I have concluded are reasonable for murder are Mercutio and Benvolio. The two boys are most villainous in acts two and three in which they proceed to go to Capulet ball; that’s where the whole problem begins. The people of Verona have the right to know that their fellow neighbors and friends are also murders, such as Benvolio and Mercutio. Accordingly, Mercutio is responsible for the death of Tybalt and Romeo. If it weren’t for Mercutio’s unstable temper then he would have never gone after Tybalt;
