The more technology the more society relies on it. The Veldt is a story about two children who are spoiled by their parents. "This house which clothed and fed and rocked them to sleep." This quote is talking about how the house does everything for the family. The entire house is full of technology. Technology can impact lives positively or negatively. "'We forgot the ketchup' he said." When someone forgets something don't they get up and look for it. "'Sorry', said a small voice within the table, and ketchup appeared." Everything the characters want they'll receive it immediately. They want the easier route, it's quick and simple. " 'Would I have to tie my own shoes instead of letting the shoe tier do it? And brush my own teeth and comb my hair and give myself a bath?' " (Bradbury). They've relied on technology that they don't even know how to take care of themselves. Technology has changed their lifestyle. Peter and Wendy don't even know how to do the most basic things of taking care of themselves because of it. …show more content…
The Veldt is mostly about two children Peter and Wendy being dependent on technology. They've gotten to the point that they can't live without it. They would be lost, confused about everything they can't think for themselves. "Reasearch that once required days in the stacks or periodical rooms of libraries can now be done in minutes A few Google searches, some quick clicks on hyperlinks, and I've got the telltale fact or pithy quote I was after" (Carr 2). Everything is quick now click on something takes you to an article in seconds. It gets people used to it, making everything quick and
