The Veldt Response George, the main character in “The Veldt” by Ray Bradbury, develops immensely from the beginning of the story to the end. In the beginning, George is inattentive to his family. George and his wife Lydia have a conversation in which Lydia starts to explain to an oblivious George that “the nursery is different now than it was” (Bradbury 1). His wife knows what is going on with the nursery but George does not. Inattentive people usually have no clue what is going on with their family and in the household.…

My plan for this activity was to have Jaxson to play with a set of action figures that presented careers like police officer, fire fighter, and farmer. So, that Jaxson had to compare and categorized them along with having to think deeply about where they go and what they do. In The Veldt, Ray Bradbury shows readers that the way a person is raised affects their view of the world and the choices that they make in it. The dramatic, ominous imagery in Bradbury’s writing draw the reader into the children’s disturbing African world. In doing this, the Hadley family is separated because the children grow attached to the house and not their parents because it is the house that has loved, cared about, and provided…

In the story The Veldt, by Ray Bradbury, I think that the kids are to blame for the parent’s death. The reason I think this is because the parents aren’t the ones who made the kids vile and destructive. The parents only wanted to give their kids the best possible life, as do all parents. But the kids were the ones who took the access to technology and turned it into an unhealthy obsession. They abused the power of the niche, and began to exercise violent tendencies using the room.…
