Descriptive Essay About A Coffee Shop

Anyone who is familiar with Connecticut 's quiet corner knows that the three best coffee shops in the area are actually in two different towns. They are however not too far from each other, and are all on the intersecting major routes. 1. Bill 's bread and breakfast, Providence Street, Putnam CT - is well known for their amazingly delicious, oversized muffins. They are so good that no one ever eats just the tops. This is also home to the best omelet this writer has ever eaten. Everything is made fresh to order, is always served hot, and no one ever leaves hungry. The bonus, this is one of the few coffee shops that still offers a bottomless cup. This place is definitely a personal favorite. Oh, incidentally, they have received Connecticut magazine …show more content…
The best coffee spots in town are locally owned and operated. Here 's a look at my top 3 favorite places in Philly to sit with a hot drink and chat, read, or people watch. #1 Philadelphia Java Company, 518 S. 4th St. This is a longtime favorite of mine. Situated at the edge of Old City only a block from the famous South Street, this shop is in the heart of a busy shopping district. Features both indoor and outdoor seating, cheap prices, and a just out-of-the-way enough location to chat without having to yell over the din of South St.. Great for those people who like to plunk down for hours, I 've never had any bad experiences with the staff trying to rush you away. Ideal spot for students or telecommuters to sit and get some work done, or to get together and chat with friends. #2 Espresso Yourself, 6441 Frankford Ave. This shop is across town from the Java Co., in the heart of the Northeast 's Mayfair district. This is much more Central Perk than the shop in the #1 spot as well - Espresso Yourself is as much community hangout as coffee shop. Regular Quizzo and Open Mic nights are held here in addition to the serving of delicious hot beverages - something like 75 different types of coffee blends and flavors. There is some outdoor seating - like most of Frankford Avenue, the surrounding street is dotted with shops and …show more content…
Very few! There are tons of great places to pickup your morning pickup, and they don 't always have to be a Starbucks or a Dunkin Donuts! Sometimes, independent coffee shops and cafes offer better quality! Not to mention, reasonable prices, great service and ORIGINAL flavors and range of menu. One great city to delve into for a wonderful morning pickup before work is Philadelphia. When I moved here, the privately owned restaurants and shops seemed to be everywhere! Why? Because they 're popular and the people love them. They are convenient for anyone here and offer the best of the best. Three of my favorites happen to be Cosi 's, Old City Coffee and Last Drop Coffee House. Cosi 's is a great environment for anyone on the go, or even great for a first date! Walking into this calm atmosphere is a great way to wind yourself down from any kind of day and gives yourself that me-time you deserve. Cosi 's offers a great menu for all of breakfast, lunch AND dinner and not to mention those GREAT beverages we all love our cafes to have and of course their own recipes you HAVE to try! Cosi 's started out as a small independent spot for people to go from morning to night. Their great success has brought them ninety locations in just fourteen states! Visit www.getcosi.com to search for a location nearest you and to view their menu before you even go out [or if you live close enough, maybe even become a regular?!]! I guarantee you will change your mind so many

If one needs a coffee to kick start their day, the options for where to get their fix are almost limitless. But even with the rise of local coffee shops or other fast food chains, there is a high chance for one to grab their brew at Starbucks or Dunkin ' Donuts. They are both worldwide coffeehouse chains that are still continuing to grow. Although they may seem like just an average joe store, they both have pros and cons in each cup. The largest dispute is whether or not these coffee consumers are getting their daily grind at Dunkin ' Donuts or at Starbucks.…

In these three years it has opened only three new locations in Southern California. Therefore it does not cover large geographic areas unlike Starbucks, which has a coffee shop almost at each block. Moreover the three locations are not conveniently located. Also the Portola coffee locations are hard to find, as they are located in the interiors and they do not have drive thru. According to an online survey conducted by the National Coffee Association (NCA) from January 9 to January 26, 2015, 57% of coffee drinkers prefer to buy their drink at a drive thru.…

This coffee shop is best known for its beignets, which is fried sweetened dough with powdered sugar that just melt in your mouth; and its chicory coffee with milk, otherwise known as café al lait. When you’re sitting in the partially enclosed café, you can hear lots of different music from brass band to jazz performers, right across Jackson Square. You see the horse drawn carriages walking the street in front of you carrying tourists, locals, and those celebrating an occasion. And in the square itself, you see individuals with their own table set up, either performing, selling handmade goods, or doing Tarot readings. Therefore, Café du Monde is open 24 hours a day and accommodates to millions of people each year; and is also a favorite of the locals.…

Starbucks In today’s world, it seems like there is a Starbucks popping up on corners as fast as some of the weeds that use to grow in the same space. I can honestly say, I have never had a Starbucks drink because they are rumored to be expensive and the menu is overwhelming. Even so, the whole Starbucks experience seems to feel familiar because they are everywhere, even in my favorite chain store, Target. I remember when they first became popular, it was the place to meet people or just hang out and use their free Wi-Fi.…

Starbucks has one simple mission, which is “To inspire and nurture the human spirit – one person, one cup and one neighborhood at a time.” It is this mission statement which has contributed to the development of the brand over the past four decades, as it is found in Starbucks more than just a coffee shop.
