A brief personality testing was completed via interview and completion of the Multimodal Questionnaire for Teenagers. This questionnaire allowed for Julia to share important events and feelings in her life. Julia reported that she has not experienced any significant difficulties in her relationships with family. Also, she described her family as loving and she enjoys their activities together. She reported healthy relationships with peers and no difficulty making or keeping friends. Julia did express some concerns regarding her performance in school (e.g. test and math class can be difficult). This composite has scales measuring Anxiety, Depression, Atypicality, Locus of Control, Social Stress, Sense of Inadequacy and Somatization. Overall, Julia’s composite scores were within the Average range on the self-report and teacher form. When examining the individual scales on the self-report, all her scores were in the Average range; indicating no internal difficulties in school. Mrs. Haugen’s responses indicated that Julia demonstrates some anxiety (e.g. “often” worries, “sometimes” says she afraid to make mistakes) in school. Her self-report of anxiety fell within the Average range. However, Julia indicated that she “often” gets nervous and “sometimes” the little things bother her. On the Atypicality scale, which measures whether an individual experiences unusual sensory perceptions, Julia’s responses indicated that she is generally aware of her surroundings and has no unusual behaviors. Her Somatization scale fell within the average range suggesting that Julia does not demonstrate any difficulties with over sensitivity or complain about relatively minor physical problems and discomfort.
