Introduction
It is evident that the use of mobile phone while driving puts an individual in a higher of getting into an accident. This proposal is aimed at recommending the best way to tackle this issue and strongly supports for the banning of use of mobile phones while one is driving. This policy will help reduce the accidents risks posed by the use of cell hence, protecting the lives of many drivers who might get into an accident.
External distraction of the driver has been linked to most of the accidents in a research done by the AAA foundation for Traffic Safety. Between the years 199 to 1999, analysis of data of towed vehicles show that approximately 8.3% drivers were distracted externally. To be particular, 29.4% were distracted by events

Talking, texting, surfing, emailing to name but just a few are some of the tasks a mobile cell can perform. It is unfortunate that numerous of our day-to-day activities happens when we are driving hence leading to many accidents on our roads. I would gladly urge people who cannot concentrate on the road while using phone not to use them at all. It’s very emotional to discuss about the use of cell phone by drivers since many individuals have perished every year due to such situations (Eby and Kostyniuk, 2003). However strict these laws may be, the final say is based on the obedience and responsibility of the driver as a policeman or any other officer may not be always on the lookout for every individual. In case of a fatal accident, any death or permanent disability acquired cannot be reversed by paying financial compensation or the driver been jailed and fined. A lost life can’t be brought back and drivers should be responsible not only for their lives but also of their passengers (Copeland, 2010).
