As a leader in many after school activities such as Boy Scouts, Altar Serving, Ushering, and in my family, I believe that I would fit well in the National Honor Society. Boy Scouts, as well as Altar Serving, has taught me that others may not be up to date with the activity at hand, which means that you must tell them, and teach them the skills needed. Altar Serving and Boy Scouts need teamwork, and communication to be successful. Teamwork is what allows the process of different activities happen, and without teamwork everything would not be smooth or it would not work completely. Ushering and family life has taught me that you must work as a team, but by doing your own work, and making sure that everything is done when it is needed.…

The Honors College at Auburn is designed to challenge the students that have showed academic excellence in their high school careers. The college should help students think more openly about the problems in today’s world, and lets face it, they are numerous. I am not saying that the students will change the world with their way of thinking, but the students will be taught perspective. This type of thinking can only be mimicked in a challenging environment with people who are pushing each other to be better.…

The National Honors Society defines what it means to serve the student body as well as the community.
