The United States has gone through a Great Depression, and many recessions which costed many people their jobs. With jobs come taxes. The United States is well known for having businesses pay more taxes. However, not everyone can afford to pay their taxes due to the many regulations and different levels of taxation. Through the economy, if there is a negative economic growth it results in having less employees because of the decrease of goods business are producing. In many cases, if there is not enough income, companies can go out of business which results people losing their jobs and most companies cannot afford to stay in business. The United States has gone through an industrial revolution, which the use of technology, such as machines began to advance. In this case, business needed less people because the machines began to do the work and even quicker. As technology advances throughout the years, people became low-skilled workers. If a machine can produce goods 10x faster than a single worker, then the company would need more machines than actual workers because it is cheaper and more effective to utilize machines over people. In order to deduce some of the causes of unemployment the idea of race/ethnicity and working should have no correlation. Many people who are part of the work place are immigrants and need a job to make a living in America. In August of 2016, a woman was fired from her job because she refused to remove her Hijab.
