When it came to selecting my core value I had to look at what has led me to live my life the way I have today. As a Bosnian-American I have been overwhelmed with joy because of the opportunity that I have received living here in the United States. I can say I am truly blessed that my family was accepted as refugees in United States in the year of 2000. I am blessed that I have the freedom of religion, speech, and press along with the millions of others living here in the United States. The United States is truly a remarkable place because we have many freedoms that we take for granted. I have been to different parts of the world and have seen and on the front line what it is like to not be able to live in true freedom. I have family members who have sacrificed so much in order for them to be free and have the freedom to be able to believe in what they would like. Freedom is the single most fought for value in the world. The United States fought for their freedom, in times like the American Revolution. ANother time freedom was fought for was during the United States civil war the North fought for the freedom of African Americans in the U.S. We have seen a recurring theme around the world when it comes to civil rights. We see revolutions occurring all the time for a country or races in a certain country fighting for their freedom, and why is this? Freedom is incorporated into every part of your life whether it be family, school, or government. Everyone has come to realize that…
