The American Standard “The word 'equality ' shows up too much in our founding documents for anyone to pretend it 's not the American way.” – Martha Plimpton. Americans may live in poverty as a child but the American way gives us hope that those who work hard can achieve whatever they want out of life. If you can believe it, you can achieve it. It is important to note in the capitalist system of America you can be as poor or as rich as you want because the countries industry and trade opportunities are privately owned and not controlled by the government. So if you want to become rich you can’t just sit around and wait you have to go out and get it. Americans should be overjoyed because they are living in the country of opportunity. The United States is considered the country of opportunity because of the many opportunities available to Americans directly associated with our strong economic and social structure. The United States is run as a capitalist system. Meaning that the countries income comes directly from privately owned businesses through producing and distributing items; and through means of trade. If you have the ability to run a business that is involved in producing services or goods you are what most people call the capitalist class. And if you currently have a sum of wealth you can continue to build that wealth by investing in other businesses or put money into the stock market.
