Lucero, Lake, & Aiken (2010) suggest that the evidence of quality nursing, when we are able to identify and prevent complications early on (pg. 2194). When nursing has appropriate time with patients, the staff members are able to identify complications early into their care (Lucero, Lake, & Aiken, 2010, pg. 2194). They are able to take the time to do proper assessments, monitor vital signs, and be there for the patient when they are not feeling right. Furthermore, the nursing staff is able to act quickly, before the patient’s condition becomes progressively worse.
