Have you ever wondered what it would be like to never see your family and kept hostage? Many Jews had to experience many events and had to learn to live without their families. Many people not only the race were taken from outside their homes but were also separated from their loved ones, which for some were the last time they would ever see them. A big amount of innocent victims died for no specific reason just that Hitler hated jews. Hitler and the Nazi party began to hurt and mistreat all of these jews by beating them with any object available. Many victims had to learn to cope with not only what was forced of them but the aftermath of this event as well.

The holocaust was a very unforgettable event that happened in the world that caused many deaths to many Jews and went on for years.

A story about a holocaust survivor named Hanna Szper who didn’t think she’d find a way out but survived by escaping with her mother. “Living Conditions were abysmal in the labor service and the Jewish conscripts were often brutally mistreated by their officers and guards”(Biefiel). “I felt guilty for many years that maybe I should have ran back and tried to get her with me or stay with her” (Hass). This is a story about a boy named Jakob and he lived in a town called Makow Mazowiecki, right by Warsaw. They first went to labor camps and then went to the concentration camps. “Outside the camp, I carved a wooden bathtub and I was in such a bad condition, I ventured to enter it, taking longer than usual to return, outdoors, the capos had initiated a person count and realized that one was missing, leaving the bathtub, I received a beating with large logs and I fell to the ground, nearly dead” (Behind Every
