Harlan Coben’s article, “The Undercover Parent”, (2008) claims that parents think it’s okay to put spyware on their child’s computer. I disagree with his claim, and think children's’ computers don’t need it. ONe example to sup[ports why I disagree with COben is when he says “some will say you should simply trust your child.” (6) A lot of parents just assume they can’t trust their child, but they’ve never given them a chance to win their parents trust or show that they can be responsible online. Another example from the article is when the author said “If he is old enough to go on the internet then he is old enough to know the dangers.” (6) Teenagers do know what is dangerous or not, and most are careful online. Not everyone goes on the internet
