The Tyndall Effect

Just like another day at West Cannoli High School, me and Ultra Violinist worked steadily on our report on the Tyndall Effect. Honestly, my essay was better than most given the fact that most only use the bare minimum. Stating that it was light scattering when it passes through a colloid. Over the intercom, they called for me and Ultra Violinist to check out. Sometimes this job can be repetitive but it is still I have grown to enjoy tormenting our appointments let alone our biggest challenge yet Walter Leopold. When we were going out to the car my prediction turned out to be true.
On our way to the house to suit up, my dad explained the floor mat of how this was going to plan out. Turns out Walter Leopold have had some chemistry practice

The computer screen stared back into my soul as I began to read directions about the assignment. It seemed like a decent amount of research was needed, so I opened a new tab to see my best friend, Google. Each click of the mouse seemed to make a different noise, some loud, some soft, some high pitched, some a hollow noise. I scrolled through each unappealing page, and it felt like I was staring into the sun. I could not stand to look at this paper for another minute, but I still had a long way to go.…

The Cold War of 1947 created a tumultuous period between the United States of America and the Union of Soviet Socialists Republics (U.S.S.R.). After World War II, both America and the Soviets suffered through political disputes, and communism in their nation. The Yalta became the cornerstone of tensions between U.S. and U.S.S.R. as it shaped the Cold War. The Yalta Conference of February of 1945 highlighted distrust between the United States, Britain, and the Soviet Union (Kennedy 867). The relationships between communists and non-communists was further strained and exacerbated when Berlin was blockaded by the Soviets.…

In the workbook, there are two columns, one on the left is the symbols and other one on the right is the numbers. To experience the Stroop effect, I have to count the numbers of symbols/numbers that are there in the workbook. My personal experience with the Stroop task wasn’t so difficult but the one on the right one made me respond slower than I did with the one on the left. I would say the reason I was slower when I performed the right column because my mind would atomically read first instead of focus on counting how many of them are there.…

Human trafficking has been a consistent problem since the beginning of the human race, but is amazingly still embedded in today’s society. Gary Haugen’s research in social studies and commitment to stopping human trafficking is one that hasn’t gone unnoticed. Haugen’s book, “The Locust Effect”, exemplifies his work to spread awareness of the impact that poverty and human trafficking have on society. Haugen received the Trafficking in Persons "Hero" award from the U.S Government for his work and efforts for ending human trafficking back in 2012. I would strongly consider Gary Haugen for Gonzaga’s Presidential Speaker series, as he is a role model in social justice today, and his work ensures the longevity of human society.…
