On September 11, 2001, nineteen members of a terrorist group called Al-Qaeda, led by Osama Bin Laden hijacked four U.S. airplanes and crashed them into the Twin Towers in New York City, the Pentagon in Virginia, and an area in Pennsylvania. About 3,000 people, both victims and first responders, were killed and over 6,000 were injured during this tragic event.
