" This quote is pretty straight forward. When you do not understand something you tend to fear it, like an omnipotent humanoid man in the sky judging you because you where told so. However, it is told by someone who is eyes are yet to be open. In the beginning there were things that are hard to explain since there was nothing to actually rely on for facts or information or any type of understanding of a language, but as complex minded as humans evolved we started to do something that was remarkable, and that was language.…

Most Jews believe that the very righteous got to Gan Eden while the rest go to Gehinnom for spiritual cleansing . Rather than being a place of eternal punishment, a soul that goes through Gehinnom is stripped of the sin it committed in its life so it can experience the infinitely higher pleasure of basking in G-dly light . This belief in Gan Eden and Gehinnom has evolved from the early ideas of the Jewish afterlife in order to promise hope and to justify the suffering of the Jewish people. Making sense of suffering was and essential in Judaism as it is incomprehensible to think that God’s chosen people would face suffering and persecution while their oppressors, people like the Egyptians and Hitler, were not punished. The afterlife rectifies this as it judges everyone and then assigns reward and retribution respectively.…

Believing that God is good and merciful does not require the belief that God will bring everyone into heaven because all people may not enjoy heaven, entering heaven requires faith and the belief in God, and people have been given the choice of salvation. Heaven has a connotation of being personal as a customized place to the desires and pleasures of a person. However, this is not the case because heaven is meant for the pleasures of God by worshiping Him. According to the text of Sermon 1, heaven will be “an endless and uninterrupted worship of the Eternal Father, Son, and Spirit” and will not resemble the material world, but instead resemble “a church” (2). St. John describes heaven in Revelations as a place where “death…mourning and crying…

For as long as there has even been a theological understanding of the existence of God, heaven and the story of humankind’s beginnings, there has been a conversation about hell. The presence of hell hearkens back to the Old Testament and the concept grows throughout the Bible until the great unveiling of its physical manifestation in the book of Revelation. It is this final understanding of what hell will be that sticks in the minds of many Christians and theologians. In fact, what has been described in the book of Revelation is the basis for the characterization of hell in popular culture and represents imagery that has since persisted through the generations.…

Conclusively, “the Religion of Lust” became perpetrated by the fallen angels that descended to earth, duplicating their presence through Satan’s various advocates. Particularly, from the beginning, Azazel haunts the background of time, spreading its spiritual force. By following the extensive road of sexual perversion of the goat or horned gods through the numerous centuries, it gives people a kaleidoscope of wicked creatures to relate to a real visional Satan and its sexual possession and evolution of evil that has evolved on this planet. Appropriately, an Englishman remarked in the years before the first American settlements, “It is the policy of the Devil, to persuade us that there is no Devil.”…

In the epic poem, Beowulf, the recurring image of darkness is often used as a portrayal of death and the unknown. The author also uses the same image to depict evil and sin and its relationship to Christianity. The underlying elements of Christianity within Beowulf can be attributed to the recent conversion of the Anglo-Saxons to Christianity. Through the persisting application of darkness, Beowulf addresses the presence of sin and the fundamental Christian beliefs in a savior and the redemption from sin. Throughout the poem, the pervasive use of sinister monsters lurking in darkness portrays the immoral acts of sin and evil.…
