Silent Pain
Imagine being treated very poorly, imagine having a nozzle put over your mouth, and imagine being locked in a cold barren cage, where you are forcibly dragged along with a rope around your neck and pushed down. You can either face death or replicate the dreadful steps of cosmetic testing. Many chemicals and products are forced into your airways. While aching with loneliness, you have to wait for the next painful procedure. You do not get the opportunity to say no, get up and leave, or run and hide. In fact, you are compelled to test until death unless your body can handle more than other test subjects. This is exactly what an animal feels when it is being tested upon. The truth is animal testing is wrong.

The re-used animals go through procedures which are potential to cause animal physical as well as psychological distress and suffering. There are perhaps many effects and dangers of these chemicals that are inserted into their bodies. There are many symptoms towards the products tested on them such as: redness, itchiness, bleeding, blindness, diarrhea, convulsions, seizures, weight loss, rash, lesions, scaling, inflammation, skin corrosion, severe skin damage, and more. There are many defects that are occasionally transpired from testing which are: blood disorder, anemia, and, organ defects. These are a few of the many dangers and effects of animal testing. The testing brings suffrage to the animal. Many animals die while the testing is being done to them. Usually, the animals that are used are always killed at the end of each test. Pain relief is rarely provided for the animals. Dying is in fact, a merciful ease from an agonizing life. These animals are tested on until they are officially dead. Rather than living a normal animal life, humans are the decision makers whether to end the animal’s once used-to-be joyful …show more content…
Cosmetic products such as lipstick and eyeliner would have to stop being bought and worn. There are plenty of companies that to this day still test on animals such like: American beauty, Avon, Axe, Bounty, Cover Girl, Clorox, Crest, Dove, Oxi Clean, Neutrogena, Michael Kors, Mary Kay, L’Oréal U.S.A., Kleenex, Revlon, Suave, Tresemme, Tommy Hilfiger, Garnier, Pine-Sol, and more. Another way one can try to prevent animal testing is by signing up anywhere it is possible. For example, anywhere there is a sign saying something about ending animal abuse. Donating money to as many animal charities as possible is a big help. In reality, the world really does not need another eyeliner, hand soap, food ingredient, drugs, or pesticide so insanely that it should come at the expense of animal lives. If one thinks about it, there are many inventors out in the world that always come up with new ways to upgrade technology and many more things. Trying to make a new invention that will bring an end to animal testing would not hurt a little. (Timaru

Animal testing is cruel and inhumane. These animals are subjected to forced feeding, forced inhalation, food and water deprivation, prolonged periods of physical restraint, infliction of burns and wounds to study the healing process and effects and remedies. Among the cruelest experiments is the Draize eye test which evaluates irritation by shampoos and other products to the eyes. During this experiment rabbits are restrained and their eyelids are held open by clips for multiple days which leads to the death of 50% of rabbits used (Scientific American, "Do Cosmetic Companies Still Test on Live Animals?," scientificamerican.com). We also are very different from animals; having different metabolic, anatomical, and cellular differences.…

Imagine your family pet being enclosed in a small, cold, and dirty cage for days, weeks, or even months on end, only being taken out to be subjected to painful experiments without any anesthetic, as well as the possibility of developing life threatening diseases and injuries. Too many animals experience this on a regular basis around the globe - in fact, nearly 25 million animals will be used as test subjects annually. Animal testing is a horrible occurrence, one that brings suffering to even the smallest of creatures. Many people do not know the extremes of the effects of this practice, which are unnecessarily painful to animals, or that alternatives do exist, and that the results are not always accurate and time/cost effective.
