The future of globalization is one of potential, potential to be many things. The world may globalize to a point where all countries will unionize. Globalization may also cause countries to get at each other’s throats; Climate can force a nation into a state of crisis and violence. Globalization also has the possibility to one day slow down; countries may try to limit globalization to preserve culture or other important items, such as oil or fresh water. As our world progresses, so do the possibilities of globalization - unionization, violence correlated to climate or even the of globalization. Gwynne Dyer, the author of the book Climate wars, puts forward a sobering thought. The planet may tear itself apart in the name of climate, as globalization progresses, so does a country 's need for resources. Resources that some countries have, and others need. He introduces the idea that in future, nations may to stop issues like global warming, but at the same time defend themselves from others. Military forces in many countries have taken issue in climate changes, suggesting they are preparing for what could come. The United States military is engrossed in the “reality of the mission”, meaning it concerns itself with matters like responding to instability, in the form of things like relief work. Furthermore dealing with the possible failure of nation states that are on the brink of unsustainability, suggesting a natural disaster could set them over the edge and lead to anarchy. Something like a draught, can cause a weaker country to strike out, possibly even at the United States. Therefore the USA has taken great measures to make sure its military is prepared for any kind of climate-based aggression that may arise. The USA is one of many countries that are preparing for the future, if this is how nations are preparing, it paints a picture for what could come.
