Simply said by Morrison, The way to fixing this crisis is likely to be solved by having the people want a change themselves. This will only happen if the insight is put into them making them wish for a better future for themselves. If we can make them think of their future for themselves then they may actually have a brighter future than we have seen before. Giving the mindset of having self-help will not always be what comes from people who try to help, it needs to be born in the minds of the people. The fact that not many people know about this crisis is mighty suprising. Although this is true it parallels with the event that took place in Flint, Michigan. As stated by an author from the Huffington Post, “Echoes of Flint, as North Carolina water pollution is swept under the rug.” (Smith 1). The act of covering up the incident that took place in Flint seems like it may be taking place in India as well. With the situation being such a big one, it does not seem reasonable that it would not get as much attention as Flint did. In my opinion the entire scenario is a bit suspicious. The reason this may be the case is that the Government may see their reputation to be more important than their own people that are dying. The rich people in India live in areas that do have the cleanest water in the country, these people do include the officials that could bring change. The
