I chose to let fate decide on what to listen to. After several random clicks I came across “The Trumpet Kings Meet Joe Turner” the name caught my eye and I decided to give it a whirl. I listened to Morning, Noon, and Night. The first thing I thought when I heard Big Joe Turner sing was “What is he saying?” I found myself very unsatisfied, not because the music was terrible but because I couldn’t understand him. It took me several replays to finally catch what he was saying. “Along came a moo cow swinging her hips, I get lonesome everyday ‘cause my baby walks that way” all I could think about was him seeing an overweight woman walking by.
