Strengths Of Personality Analysis

Strengths When I received my personality test results I did notice that most of the strengths it had me under were a correct fit for me as of right now. For starters I do feel as if I’m supportive. Anytime I have a friend who is going through something, a family member that is upset, or even someone I hardly know that seems to be hitting a rough patch in their life I feel that I should be there for that person. Next the test results showed that I am reliable. I know if someone is counting on me to take care of something for them then I make sure it gets taken care of. I am imaginative and observant as well, because I have different ways of looking at certain situations. Other strengths the test results showed were loyal, hardworking, enthusiastic, …show more content…
Furthermore, these are traits that could lead to being able to have an established long-term relationship. Although, at the same time that could be difficult due to our shyness. I would have to agree with all of what the results have showed up to this point, because in a relationship for me, it is important that we have all similar interests and values in life so that would limit any disagreements that may come in the future. The test results also showed that we take relationships seriously. At this point in my life I have come to realization that there’s really no point in dating someone if you don’t see your relationship going anywhere or leading to even marriage. The results stated that we tend to do everything in our power to make our significant other happy, but if there is no appreciation shown back towards us then we go on to keep it bottled up to a point where we can no longer keep it in. This is definitely a trait that I have. In the next 5 years I plan to work on this, and try to become better at talking about things that may bother me. During the next 10 years I hope to have overcome that negative trait, which I hope would lead to even fewer disagreements in the …show more content…
With that being said, I was completely shocked when I saw the results of suggested career paths that I should follow that fit my personality. The results stated that I should look into elementary teaching, which is exactly what I want. The results for the career section couldn’t be any more spot on. The results showed that we tend to help people whenever they may need help, and overall we do it because we enjoy it. I find this very accurate about me, I’ve always been there to help anyone who has needed help, and I’ve always been the one giving people advice when they may desperately need it. That feeling of knowing that I could’ve made someone’s day by just helping them, truly makes me happy. Other career paths it suggested were natural counselors, nurses, and social workers. Almost all of these career paths have been an option for me. In 5 years I’m hoping to still be in school, leaving only one more year left to achieve my master’s degree in elementary education. Following that, within the next 10 years I hope to be in a classroom at this time teaching several young children the many school subjects, and watching them grow educationally, and also as an

Do What You are Assessment When I initially took the "Do What You are Assessment" the findings were inconclusive and misleading. Originally, I felt like the results of the assessment were vague and didn't describe me whatsoever. The test pretty much told me that I was withdrawn from emotion; I was someone who wanted to think logically, only wanted facts, and I just wanted people to work in a neat and organized fashion. Those characteristics might describe me in my work life, but in my personal life I am completely different, so after taking the test I shared my negative feedback with the online assessment.…

My character strengths were consistent with what I would have predicted. I did appreciate that this survey helped me to better understand myself and recognize how some of my personality characteristics were strengths. It was helpful to put words to these strengths and better understand each so I could begin to expand on these strengths and better apply them to my teaching. Alternatively, this exercise helped remind me that everyone has strengths and that I should remind myself to be patient when working on teams or when I am working with my students. I should not get frustrated with someone because they are not performing or acting how I would expect or want because it is likely more about their strengths and weaknesses, and not about them trying to upset me.…
