Personal Essay: Achieving True Freedom

There are a few guidelines that I have found to be especially influential in achieving pure freedom. True freedom is something that everyone deserves to have throughout their life experience. All people yearn to be themselves, free from the fear of how other people will view them. We all have the choice to embark on a journey to our core beliefs. So that we may adjust them and build upon them to create a better version of our own personal version of reality. As humans, we have needs that have to be met. Unfortunately, many people are unaware of needs outside of the physical realm. Freedom is a frame of mind that we can all attain when we put forth the effort to learn how. Countless people, I have had the pleasure of meeting, are so concerned with how fellow peers view them. So, they hold their true self back. Denying the soul the freedom that it must have to grow. These people are tragically terrified that if they are not accepted by those around them that they are worthless. However, pretending to fit in with everyone is like putting your soul in a cage to wither away. When we hold our souls separate from ourselves we feel major discord. The world needs more individuals, who are willing to stop caring about social norms, find their own beliefs, and who chase their dreams. Taking the time to improve ourselves on an emotional level we not only affects our own lives, it will ripples out and touches all who we come into contact with. If influential people throughout history had been worried about how everyone else would react, we would still be living in caves with no fire.
