The True Cost of Survivor Guilt

We all need survival, the real question is if you have what it takes to survive.
Survival is a skill we all possess. It has a lot to do with community, brotherhood, and adaptability.
The community clearly loves their veterans. You've probably seen the bumper stickers, Semper Fidelis, it means “always faithful.”Nancy Sherman, the author of “The Moral Logic of Survivor Guilt” has wise words to say about this. “They embody the Marine motto Semper Fidelis. The general's eyes had left the ground and were traveling inch by inch up the tree. Rainsford froze there, every muscle tensed for a spring. The cold was so intense.’” Another is “ The men were soaked and frostbitten. They were badly chafed by wet clothes that had not been removed for seven months, and afflicted with salt water boils. Their wet feet and legs were a sickly white color and swollen. Their hands were black- with grime, blubber, burns from the Primus and frostbite.
