The knowledge based leadership comes form and makes up five essential components. These 5 components are action, competence, openness, trust and vision. These five functions correlate with the values of knowledge based leadership. Each one of these functions allows a firm structure for each individual within the corporation to operate. The first phase becomes action; ensuring that tasks are understood, supervised and accomplished. This also allows the opportunity to know your people and be attentive to their wellbeing. The next phase becomes competence, which continues to focus on constantly improving and being open to develop a variety of situations. The phase of openness helps tremendously in being exposed in every facet of learning. The ability to have openness allows other options in developing and complacency doesn’t set in. One of the most integral parts becomes trust. When trust is built it adds to a clean, honest, reliable, effective, and good work environment. The last phase becomes the vision. In every company, the vision is a must. The vision helps everyone understand the bigger picture, which allows them to buy in and work towards that goal.
