The October 7th, 1776 issue of the Connecticut Courant, now better known as the Hartford Courant, had both an appealing and hard to look at appearance and the layout of the newspaper was a bit disorganized. The newspaper had no particular order and it was difficult to differentiate the stories. A particular article that was a bit simpler to tell apart was the one titled WILLIAMSBURG, dated September 13 on page two of the newspaper. The article is about a general who plans to break up Florida and a bit of the context of the tension that is going on between Spain and Great Britain during that time. The format the article is written provides the most important information towards the middle of the article and one very important information in their last sentence, similar to the disorganization that does occur in the newspaper.…

Recently, I received samples from Star Harvest Jewelry, a wholesale company, that provided me with both quality and fun pieces to wear. From past perspective of someone who used to sell jewelry, and at one point was the Director of Purchasing with the responsibility of acquiring metals and stones for a manufacturing company, I can say I was pleasantly surprised by the shape, size, and quality of the pieces sent to me. Silver jewelry will never go out of fashion, and is a inexpensive alternative to gold. This is a selling point for those who want to start a jewelry business (something I've always wanted to do), and are looking for pieces to add to their stores. According to Meiners, Ringleb and Edwards (2012), an agency is created when a person or the company’s agent agrees to act for, or in place of, another person or company named as principal. An agent is “the person or firm who is authorized by the principal or by operation of the law to make contracts with third persons on behalf of the principal”. In the case of Yim v. J’s Fashion, Yim never disclosed that a principal was involved with the contract established with J’s Fashion and that he was only acting as an agent. This situation would allow for J’s Fashion to have other options to sue Yim as well as the principal. The law states that a principal is liable for a simple contract made by an authorized agent.…
