Take its readers on a sad, but inspirational journey. Travel Team’s a tale of an undersized Basketball player named Danny walker. Danny walker, the son of Richie Walker, the famous basketball star whose career ended because of his love for alcohol. Basketball was in Danny, and he was easily one of the best basketball players in Middletown, Connecticut. Although Danny had skill in basketball, he was lacked height, being very short for his age.

Right before the game, Richie walker walks in with crutches with Ali who picked him up from the hospital. Once the crowd recognized who it was, they gave him a standing ovation. The game’s very close and the third best player now that Ty has joined Colby, is out of her head and about to foul out. Danny and Ty’s hope to win is slowly fading away until they look over to the crowd and see a spark of inspiration, Ty’s dad has sat beside Danny’s dad and they realize if those two can sit by eachother, anything’s possible. Of course, like any underdog story they win the game 34 to 32 and make a statement for the little guy.
Travel team is a story that shows you to never let any negative comments contol what you think, do, or say. Showing you that people can count you out all they want, but it's your choice to prove them wrong. This book is truly relevant to real life because many people take insults or negative comments and take it too seriously, which then leads the person to either quit something they love or could potentially love to do.
