-1- The Transformation

I had a dream about turning into an animal the night before it all happened. The day before, my friend (Charley) and I had an encounter with The Wizard of Thepville. We destroyed him in a game of cards him and totally rubbed it in. He told us some sort of riddle like," You shall become thy goat and thy chicken, for then at first light you shall be transformed". Being the cool guy I am, I just said," pshhhh, whatever". And here I am the next morning with goat everything. I just forgot about Charlie because I imagined he was still in bed. Or maybe he fainted when he looked at the mirror. The first thing I did was strung cheese all over my horns. I know it sounds immature and all that stuff a grownup would

-3- Getting Prepared

I ran back to Chase's house, and turned right. I remembered as a child going to the goat, weapon and armory. After fifteen minutes of running I reached the the goat, weapon and armory. I melted a hole in the door with the hot torch I found on the ground. There was a security guard but, before he even knew what was happening I ran around the corner and I goat punched him in the face. (LIKE A BOSS). I was running as fast as I could I turned the corner and “whack” it was my best friend Charlie. I’d completely forgot about him since this morning. He was a chicken. I asked him where he had been the whole time.
“Well I have been here looking for weapons all day,” He said.
"We should keep looking,” I said. We looked all over the factory and found nothing. But the last room, was filled with Javelins, Spears, swords, shields, anything that you would need to fight. Me and Charlie grabbed everything we could hold and exited the factory.

Just as a pilotless plane would travel to an unpredictable and assuredly undesirable destination, a vacuous environment devoid of legitimate direction will produce an unintended objective. Lack of objectives and strategies don't negate their outcome, they negate their purpose. Where those strategies would lead, the outcome, and their desirability to its principal becomes yet another story − and a mystery at that. For example, if one randomly shoots a gun into the air, rest assured the bullet will find its way back to Earth. Lewis Carroll's infamous quotation in the author of Alice and Wonderland states, “If you don't know where you are going, any road will take you there.”…

I trudged onward, feeling the numbing cold of the atmosphere intensify with each hurtling step. Every breath I take now is filled with the icy air of my heart. It pains me so much as the ridgid air spreads the cold blood throughout my veins. The cold in my heart blurs my vision, rimming everything in red. Seconds later, I heard a gunshot whiz past my ear, before more started to follow, thick like winter hail.…

They are pretty huge animals, and they look even more ginormous when 5 of them are standing right in front of you. The excerpt “Open Door,” from A Field Guide To Getting Lost by Rebecca Solnit talks about the true meaning of getting lost and how the experience is different for each person. The meaning of getting lost for Solnit is actually a chance for someone to find themselves. Solnit argues that becoming lost is an essential and wondrous tool of one’s self identity and their ability to grow, change and to become informed. Solnit uses sources of philosopher’s, poet’s, scientist’s and more to back up her ideas of getting lost and becoming enlightened at the same time. As I continued to read the story I began to see how the different experiences of getting lost somehow all tied to one central idea.…
