And through all the hardships, he never quit. Odysseus was very clever and quick-witted. While he was trying to return to Ithaca, he faced many challenges along the way. Not only did he use his brains to get him out of situations like being stranded on an island, getting trapped in a cyclops’ cave, and being threatened by powerful gods, but he used his smarts to lead his crew through it all.
