Another example of Jonas changing is he usually apprehensive and now he is brave. Jonas is apprehensive because he said it himself that he is apprehensive after thinking about it for a long time. ¨ Apprehensive, Jonas decided. That's what I am.¨ Jonas is also apprehensive because since the ceremony is coming up he feel nervous and scared, or apprehensive. Jonas feels apprehensive in this moment because the ceremony of 12 will decide the job for the rest of his life. Throughout the book Jonas now realizes that there is more to the world and he now is brave. Jonas is now brave because is he trying to help the Giver get better with the memories even if they are painful. ¨Jonas entered the Annex room and realized immediately that it was a day when he would be sent away. Throughout the book Jonas as gone to be apprehensive the brave and obedient to rebellious. Jonas has gone from apprehensive to brave because he experienced new things and was opened up to more memories and started taking a chance. Jonas also went from obedient to rebellious because during his time as receiver of memory the memories he received made him think differently and felt more loose than feeling uptight. By the end of the book Jonas is more confident about things and he is much wiser than before because of all the memories he has. Jonas now sees his community as a community that is not perfect and needs help to fix it. Jonas sees his community this way because he feels that when they kill children it is wrong and he wanted to fix
